Ms Sara Gates, Vice President, Identity Management, Suns Microsystems USA
As the Vice President of Identity Management Marketing at Sun Microsystems, Sara is responsible for market positioning, product definition and outbound communications for Sun's identity management product line. She brings a wealth of consulting and go-to-market strategy experience to her role, which she leverages to solve customer problems and build competitive market advantage. Prior to Sun, Sara was Director of Product Management & Marketing at Waveset Technologies, driving product strategy and direction. Prior to that she served as Director at Microsoft, with responsibility for taking new technologies to market. Sara has also worked with Deloitte & Touche Consulting Group's Merger & Acquisition practice.

Jason Hart is CEO and Head of Information Security Services at WhiteHat Consultancy (UK) Ltd (www.whitehatuk.com). Jason brings more than 14 years of Information Security experience to the WhiteHat business which offers a unique combination of Information Security Services and education to help businesses minimise risk, whilst maximising value delivered by IT investment.
Prior to WhiteHat, Jason served as Head of Information Security Services for the Synstar Plc where he was primarily responsible for strategic and business development activities. Before working at Synstar, Jason has held senior positions within a number of organisations, including Ernst & Young’s Information Security Assurance and Advisory Services practice. Jason has created and/or been an integral part of a team developing entire security frameworks as well as Information Security Assessment Methodology. Clients have included NHS, Government, as well as a number of FTSE 100 organisations.
Jason holds a Degree in Micro Electronics and holds CISSP,CISM, Security +, BS7799 Lead Auditor qualifications and is currently studying a Masters degree in Information Security and Computer Crime. Noted as a leading figure within the information security industry, Jason often speaks at security events across Europe, and most recently was keynote speaker at InfoSec in 2004 and 2005.

Mr Chris Joscelyne, Officer, Australian IT Security Forum
Chris Joscelyne is a leader in Australia’s IT security sector, serving on the Board of the Australian IT Security Forum, the Advisory Board for the Information Security Evaluation Program at the Defence Signals Directorate in Canberra, and on the advisory council of AEEMA. He has served as the Australian IT industry delegation chairman for bilateral talks with the United States on protection of the national information infrastructure and as the Australian spokesman at the Global eBusiness Forum at the United Nations in Geneva. In 1994, Chris founded Australian Projects; a company engaged in the commercialisation of new and emerging IT security solutions. He is in high demand as an international speaker on issues relating to information security, privacy, data integrity, encryption, digital rights management, and biometrics.

Mr David Lacey, Director of Information Security, Royal Mail Group, UK
David Lacey is Director of Information Security for Royal Mail Group. He has over 30 years experience in IT including more than 20 years professional experience in Information Security management in both government and industry. Prior to joining Royal Mail in 1999, David was responsible for Information Security policy and standards for the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the Royal Dutch/Shell Group. David is a keen futurist and innovator, responsible for pioneering many new initiatives in Information Security and IT Management. In particular, he played a major role in the development of the British Standard BS7799 and the associated certification schemes, and under his direction, both Royal Mail and Shell have achieved very large scope BS7799 certifications. David has also pioneered the use of new security concepts such as the use of computational immunology for automated fraud detection. He founded the Jericho Forum which aims to develop solutions and standards to enable secure, de-perimeterised business operations. David also has experience of designing and implementing the Security, Risk and IT Governance processes for large IT outsourcing contracts including a £1.5 billion contract with the CSC-led Prism Alliance. David serves on a number of professional industry advisory boards in the banking, postal and government sectors, concerned with information security. These include the APACS Security Advisory Group, the BCS Security Forum and the UK Security Professionals' Group, which is aiming to establish an institute for information security professionals. He also chairs the UK National Identity Card Private Sector User Group and is a Member of the Jericho Forum Management Board.

Mr Alastair MacGibbon, Director, Trust & Safety, eBay Australia & New Zealand
Often touted as Australia’s former ‘top cyber cop’ Alastair MacGibbon is a respected authority on high-tech crime including Internet fraud and a range of Internet security issues.
At Australia’s number one online shopping destination eBay , Alastair heads the Australian and New Zealand division of the international Trust & Safety. MacGibbon is responsible for educating consumers about online safety, building partnerships with industry and government and assisting in the development of new technologies that keep eBay at the forefront of online safety.
Alastair works closely with Australian and international law enforcement agencies to help bring offenders to justice.
Alastair has 15 years of national and international policing experience and is the founding Director of the Australian High Tech Crime Centre (AHTCC) - a law enforcement unit hosted by the Australian Federal Police to coordinate Australia’s efforts to combating serious crime involving technology.
During his time with the AHTCC, Alastair pioneered new thinking in law enforcement approaches to high tech crime investigations and harm minimisation strategies including innovative industry engagement and aggressive cooptation of public sector agencies to the Centre.
As a Federal Agent with the Australian Federal Police he served in numerous roles in Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne before becoming the AFP Overseas Liaison Officer at the Australian Embassy in Washington DC for three years.
Alastair is a graduate of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy and has a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of International Studies from the University of Sydney.

Mr Paul Serrano, Senior Marketing Director - Asia Pacific,, CipherTrust
Mr. Serrano has more than 28 years of experience in the security and networking arena and has extensive experience in sales, marketing and business development. Prior to CipherTrust he served as Director for security products marketing for Juniper Networks via the acquisition of NetScreen Technologies where he held a variety of senior management positions. Mr. Serrano served four years at NetScreen Technologies, two of which were as Senior Director of Product Management at the California headquarters and the latter two where he functioned as Senior Director of Marketing, APAC, based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining NetScreen, Serrano was director of business development at Bell Labs Research where he played a key role in the commercialization of various research technologies into the telecom market space. Before that, he co-founded and served as CEO for Network Tools, a company focusing on configuration challenges in the data networking sector. He was vice president at the HSBC banking corporation as well as serving in senior management roles at JP Morgan Bank and Citibank. He previously served in senior positions in sales, marketing and product management at start-up SynOptics Communications (later acquired by Nortel). Serrano spent nine years with the US Air Force and was responsible for the planning, design, installation and deployment of large-scale communication systems, including satellite systems, fiber optics, voice and data systems, cryptographic systems and wireless communications. He is a member and participant in the IEEE and IETF forums.

Prof Vijay Varadharajan, Director, Information & Networked Security Research, Macquarie University
Vijay Varadharajan is the Microsoft Chair and Professor of Computing at Macquarie University. He is also the Director of Information and Networked System Security Research. He is also the Technical Board Director of Computer Science, Australian Computer Society. He is also Adjunct Professor at the University of Western Sydney. Professor Varadharajan has technically led, managed and successfully delivered on numerous projects in Secure Systems funded by European Commission, Hewlett-Packard Labs., SERC/EPSRC and British Telecom Labs. in the UK and USA, and Australian Research Council Grants and University Grants as well as sponsored projects from Fujitsu, Microsoft and other industries. He has also acted as consultant and has been architect for several projects in computing, financial and telecom organizations in the UK, US and more recently in Australia. He has also acted as an Expert for European Union and worked with the UK Dept. of Trade and Industry, and has worked several European Research Projects such as COST, EUREKA and ESPIRIT. Vijay has also been a member of several International Standards activities such as ISO, ECMA, OSF, CCITT/ITU, IEEE, British and Australian Standards and the European Union. He is currently the Australian Delegate on IFIP Technical Committee TC 11 on Information Security. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Information Security, Springer-Verlag (Germany), ACM Transactions on Information Systems Security (USA) and in the Board of Computer and Communication Security Abstracts (UK). He has been a member of the Board of Advisors in Trusted Computing Platform Association (TCPA) and is on the Microsoft Trustworthy Computing Academic Advisory Board (TCAAB). He has been an invited Visiting Professor at INRIA Research Labs in France, Institute of Mathematical Sciences, National University of Singapore, Indian Institute of Science and Visiting Scientist at Microsoft Research Cambridge, UK. He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS), a Fellow of the IEE (FIEE), a Fellow of the IMA (FIMA), a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Engineers (FIEAust), a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society, a Senior Member of IEEE and is listed in Marquis of Who is Who in the World.
